About
My name is Angelo Michael Tursi and I am an artist working primarily in digital drawing. The work comes out of intuitive, automatic drawing rather than planning things out in advance. I sit down and follow what wants to show up, letting strange forms, symbols, and figures take shape as they come. Over time, the images have started to feel connected, like pieces from the same strange world. There is a sense of shared myth and atmosphere across the work, pulling from fantasy, the occult, and inner imagery, meant to be experienced more than explained.
In April of 2025, I was struck by a pickup truck while riding my bicycle in a hit-and-run accident, an event that reshaped my physical circumstances and the rhythm of my days. Long stretches of time are spent in bed, with daily movement sharply reduced. Drawing has become a way to focus myself away from pain and toward something steady and absorbing and magical. The prints offered here reflect a commitment to sustaining an art practice as a source of stability, income, and self-support within my new reality.
These prints are offered as 12"x18" museum-quality matte posters because the surface supports depth, contrast, and subtle tonal relationships without glare. The goal is durability, visual calm, and fidelity to the original work. Each print is treated as a finished object, produced to hold up over time and to live comfortably in real spaces rather than as a disposable image.
